Wallis Range

For this assignment we were required to create a range plan for any retailer in the Arcadia Group. This included using Flex PLM and Technical Packs, which expanded our knowledge from previous ranges. The range needed to be innovative in the retail sector.

My range aimed to incorporate UBF 50+ into a swimwear collection for Wallis.

  • Wallis do not offer swimwear.
  • UBF is also not well established within the market.

This meant it was essential to undercover as much trend and market research as possible in order to ensure the products met the demands of the target market. As well as this, I wanted to incorporate a technical feature to create something innovative beyond a standard swimwear collection. This would help act as selling point which differentiated Wallis from its competitors.

In addition, I wanted to create a fresh, contemporary feel for the garments. This is because it would be functional for consumers as it prolonged the lifestyle of the garment as well as ensure it wouldn’t become outdated. The aim was to offer consumers a beneficial investment into the garment as swimwear in the UK isn’t frequently used, therefore it needed to be consistently fashionable over a duration of time to ensure maximum use, as well as minimize the use of landfill with fast fashionable garments.
